Ashtyn Barbaree

Ashtyn Barbaree is an Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Fayetteville, Arkansas (USA). She was nominated for Acoustic Act of the Year (2024) and Americana Artist of the Year (2023) at the Arkansas Country Music Awards.

Her music features a timeless, smoky, and ethereal voice often likened to artists such as Fiona Apple, Jewel, Phoebe Bridgers, Lana Del Rey, and Nanci Griffith. Her authentic songwriting and passionate performances have silenced rooms across the United States and Europe.

Notable performances include opening for a range of talents such as Alexandra Kay, Mike Mains, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, William Clark Green, Arkansauce and Adeem the Artist. She performed at the Walmart AMP VIP Lounge during The Avett Brothers (2023) and is scheduled to return for Feist (2024), Jewel (2024), Melissa Etheridge (2024) and Sarah McLachlan (2024).

Ashtyn has garnered recognition as the Arkansas State Music Ambassador (Arkansas Tourism), on the Arts on Tour Roster (Arkansas Arts Council) and as an Artists 360 Fellow (Mid-America Arts Alliance).

Ashtyn is a versatile musician, known for her rhythmic acoustic guitar, piano, and tenor ukulele. Her live performances are enriched by a rotating ensemble of skilled musicians, ranging from baritone guitar and harmonies, to electric guitar, pedal steel, upright bass and drums.

Her self-titled debut EP, Ashtyn Barbaree, was recorded in Nashville, TN at The Butcher Shoppe with David “Fergie” Ferguson, Dave Roe, Kenny Vaughan, Jeffrey Clemens, Michael Rojas and Sean Sullivan, once released, it led to her first European tour in 2018.

Her latest full-length album, Better Luck Next Time, was recorded in Nashville, TN at The Studio Nashville with Chris Scruggs, Jeffrey Clemens, Brook Sutton, Jacob Campbell, Tommy Hannum and Daniel Thiels, then released in June 2022.

She is set to independently release her third album, Sent Through The Ceiling, on October 25 2024. It was recorded in Bentonville, Arkansas in December 2023 at Haxton Road Studios.
